EXHIBITION OF THE ARTIST DIMITAR DIMITROV 

 Municipal Institute "Ancient Plovdiv" is proud to be host and co-organizer of the solo exhibition of Dimitar Dimitrov, which marks the 80th anniversary of the artist. 

 The artist, born in the village of Staro Zhelezare, is a graduate of the National Academy of Arts in Gocho Bogdanov's Mural Painting class. Dimitar Dimitrov works in the field of painting. His creative expression was built in the artistic atmosphere of the 1970s - the time in which the new conceptual and plastic foundations of fine art were formed.

"Each of his works is an expression of the author's lyrical essence - the romantic village streets, on which bright sunspots play and cast bluish shadows on the white walls; the peasant women sitting among yellowing fields, in silent expectation and hope. The world of Dimitrov, expressed through his canvases, is mysterious and strange ... " Liliana Staleva shares.

 Works by Dimitar Dimitrov are owned by private collections in Romania, Germany, France, Greece, Bulgaria, etc. The artist lives and works in Plovdiv since 1954.

 The exhibition can be seen until 28.06.2023.
